Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use Whoo. This statement covers the Whoo website and apps: what we aim for, what we've done, what isn't there yet, and how to tell us.

Draft for legal review · not yet in effect · last updated 19 October 2026

1. Our commitment

Whoo is built around talking, not photos. That should make it a good fit for many people, including people who use screen readers. We treat accessibility as part of building each screen, not a fix at the end.

2. The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on the website and in the apps. We also follow the accessibility guidance from Apple and Google for their platforms.

Where it applies, we're working to meet the European Accessibility Act and similar laws in other countries.

3. What we've done

4. Timed parts of Whoo

Sessions are timed: each chat lasts 3 minutes, and there are 20 seconds between chats to choose Yes or No. Timing is core to how sessions work, so we can't remove it.

What we do instead:

If timing makes Whoo hard for you to use, please tell us. It helps us decide what to change.

5. Known limits

We're still building, and some things aren't fully there yet:

We'll update this list as we fix things and as we learn more.

6. Tell us what's not working

If something on Whoo is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email accessibility@meetwhoo.com. Please tell us:

We aim to reply within 5 business days.

If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the body that enforces accessibility law where you live.

7. About this statement

This statement was prepared on 19 October 2026, based on our own testing. We'll review it at least once a year and whenever we make big changes.
